Jennifer Aniston & Her Battle With Dry Eyes
Even when you’re happy, your eyes are full of tears. They provide moisture and lubrication to help you see and keep your eyes comfortable. What’s in a tear? Well, they’re a mix of water (for moisture), oils (for lubrication), mucus (for even spreading), antibodies and special proteins that keep infection at bay.
These ingredients come from special glands around your eye. Dry eyes often mean that your tear system is out of whack and when tears don’t provide enough moisture, you might notice just like Jennifer Aniston did. Do you know how uncomfortable it is to have dry, bothersome eyes? Jennifer Aniston does as well. She admitted that she was dependent on eye drops. Aniston, said that her side effects got so terrible that she experienced difficulty perusing scripts. The reason she discovered, was Dry Eye Syndrome. She shared what it resembles to think you have sensitivities and find you have something else altogether.
I always thought, ‘Oh, it must be the environment, or I must have allergies, or someone said maybe because you have wide eyes, you’re just more sensitive. If I was reading a script, my eyes would start itching. It was so painful and irritating! I’d literally be going to a premiere and my eyes would be burning and I’d have to give myself a dose of eyedrops before I went down the red carpet. But I just thought that was what my eyes were and I had to live with it.
