Looking and feeling our best doesn’t have to be limited to the places that everyone sees. Sometimes we may have anxieties about the more private and intimate parts of our bodies.

A less spoken about, yet increasingly popular procedure, is anal and vaginal bleaching. With the rise in hair removal procedures, our intimate areas are left more exposed. Anal and vaginal bleaching fades the skin which can often become discoloured over time as a result of aging and levels of melanin in the skin.

There are several different methods that can be used; fading creams, chemical peels, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) or laser treatments.

More information on Genital or Anal Bleaching

Why choose Cosmetic Image Clinics for your Genital or Anal Bleaching?

Cosmetic Image Clinics is owned and operated by former AMA Qld President and TV Medical Journalist Dr Ingrid Tall who has over twenty years of experience in the cosmetic medicine industry. Our clinic is medically supervised and if experience, credibility and a ‘natural look’ is what you are looking for, then make Queensland’s largest cosmetic clinic, Cosmetic Image Clinics your preferred provider.

Is Genital or Anal Bleaching safe and painless?

When performed by an experienced technician, anal or vaginal  bleaching is safe and only mildly uncomfortable. Depending on the treatment chosen you will experience different levels of discomfort.

Creams and chemical peels will cause irritation and redness, while IPL and laser treatments may cause blistering and tenderness for a few days.

At Cosmetic Image Clinics we can offer you numbing cream prior to your treatment to help alleviate pain.

Is Genital or Anal Bleaching permanent?

Unfortunately, just like waxing and laser hair removal you will be required to do some maintenance. But to ensure that the lightening procedure has the optimal results and lasts for as long as possible you should keep the area clean, using wet wipes instead of dry toilet paper to help prevent further staining of the anus.

What is Genital or Anal Bleaching?

Genital and anal bleaching is a treatment to lighten the skin on or around the anus or genitals. This part of the body may become discoloured over time, with some people being prone to darker skin due to heredity. This discolouration can also be a symptom of ageing, pregnancy and hormonal changes.

Irrespective of why the area has become darker, people choose to lighten the skin for an assortment of reasons.

What treatments are available for Genital or Anal Bleaching at Cosmetic Image Clinics?

There are a number of treatments available in order for you to achieve the confidence you desire.

Our specially formulated ‘Pink Bits’ fading cream contains 2% Hydroquinone and is readily available over the counter. However, a stronger preparation, containing 4% Hydroquinone, is available from Dr Ingrid Tall by prescription.

Our chemical peels, such as a glycolic, salicylic or trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peels can also be used. These can be an effective method, either by themselves or when used in conjunction with our fading creams, stripping pigmentation from the skin. We advise our clients that they may experience at least a week of irritation and redness after using a peel.

Laser and IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatments are an effective way to lighten the skin. Clients usually require approximately four to six treatments using our high grade M22 Lumenis IPL machine and may need one or two ‘maintenance’ treatments over time. Clients may experience some initial discomfort however numbing cream can be applied prior to the treatment if desired. We do advise clients that the area may in some cases, blister or be tender for several days.

For deeper pigment around the anus, the Q-switched Nd-YAG laser, also used for tattoo removal, can address the deeper pigment.
