Feather touch brows
Feather Touch Brow tattooing is a safe, effective procedure that implants hypoallergenic pigments into the dermal layer of the skin achieving semi-permanent results. Your eyebrows can be completely remodelled or individually tailored depending on what look you desire to achieve. Your feather touch tattoo specialist will create a balanced, defined, natural looking brow that enhances your facial features and complements your skin tone.
We use topical anaesthetic lotions compounded specifically for this treatment to keep you as relaxed and comfortable as possible throughout. This will be discussed with you in your consultation.
The treatment can also be known as Feathering, Micro Pigmentation, Brow Microblading, Derma Graphics, Eyebrow Embroidery, 3D Brows, Hyper-realism Brows or Feather Stroke Brows.
Complete Skin and Beauty Senior Therapists are certified in performing the microblading technique. A single-use microblade is used to create fine, hair-like strokes that seamlessly blend and mimic hair weaved amongst existing hairs to create a natural looking three-dimensional brow.
Powder brows is a semi permanent cosmetic makeup technique designed to create eyebrows with soft powdery effect, similar to the look of powder makeup. The Powder Brow result is achieved using a shading technique with a permanent makeup device that is like a tattoo gun to lightly fill in colour to achieve the soft powder look.
Referred to as the ‘new Microblading,’ Powder brows are perfect for people who already have full brows but want to add a little extra definition without the hassle and inconvenience of filling in their brows every day. It is also a great option for oily skin types, as the technique typically holds the pigment longer than feather touch brows performed with a micro blade.
Ombre Brows offer a full looking eyebrow that has natural hair strokes at the front and fuller powder colour on the ends
The procedure uses a combination of Microblading also known as Feather touch strokes and the micro shading technique of powder brows. Offering the perfect option for those who like a full looking more sculpted looking brow, feather hair strokes are done at the front of the brow using Microblading which is blended into micro shading on the ends to create the perfectly defined shaded tail.
Ombre brows provide semi permanent definition and the opportunity to achieve the brows you want without the inconvenience of having to wear make up daily.
- NO excessive exercise/sweating or extended direct sunlight for 7 days to prevent the wound becoming infected.
- Do not touch the healing pigmented area with your fingers as they may have bacteria on them.
- Redness and swelling is usually minimal, and will disappear within 48 hours
- The treated area may feel a bit tender afterwards but there should be minimal discomfort.
- Clients may experience a headache following the treatment.
- Apply all aftercare product using a clean cotton swab and not your fingertips.
- Keep the tattooed area clean and dry
- While showering or bathing, avoid wetting and washing the tattooed area as it can be detrimental to the bonding process that must take place for the pigment to stabilise in the dermis. Only use aftercare cream prescribed by your tattooist on the day of treatment for the following week.
- DO NOT pick or scratch at the dry skin/flakiness; let the skin fall off naturally. Picking can cause scarring and premature loss of pigment. IMPORTANT: Once the flakes have fallen off, a shiny layer of healing skin will completely cover the hair strokes. It may appear as though the tattooed area has completely disappeared.
- DO NOT apply make-up to the tattooed area for the first 2 weeks. Chemicals of any kind may interfere with the healing and colour of your tattoo.
- Once the treated area is completely healed, any changes or additions that need to be made can be done at your follow-up appointment no sooner than 4 – 6 weeks later.
- Colour will appear darker during the first 5 to 7 days. 7 days later, it loses 40 to 50% intensity.
Is cosmetic tattooing permanent?
Cosmetic tattooing provides a semi-permanent look that has been known to last for many years but generally will ‘fade’ or metabolise over time which is why we recommend maintenance visits to refresh the look and crispness. The technique differs from traditional tattooing in that a pigment is used instead of an ink. Natural fading will occur from external factors like exposure to the sun as well as internal factors such as the gradual breakdown of the pigment. The fading process will differ between people and come down to skin type and lifestyle factors. We usually recommend a touch up once per year for Microblading and every1-2years for shading
Why do I need 2 session
Great results can be achieved after the first session of cosmetic brow tattooing however we prescribe a follow up visit after the area has healed to perfect the look and ensure the colour is even throughout the whole area or to add any more density. This will make sure that your tattoo will last as long as possible
