The Ultherapy procedure can achieve a safe non-surgical eyebrow lift, non-surgical neck lift and non-surgical chin lift. This procedure has been cleared by both the TGA and FDA, and the FDA has also now cleared it to improve décolletage or chest lines and wrinkles.
Ultherapy bypasses the surface of the skin and uses ultrasound to deposit focused energy to stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin in the deep tissue layers. Consequently, skin will begin to firm, lift and tighten over time.
Ultherapy equals no downtime! This procedure does not use scalpels, needles or toxins, therefore there is no disruption to the skin and no downtime.
You can return to your normal activities straight away after your treatment, depending on the form of pain relief chosen, if any.

Ultherapy targets the same deeper tissues as a face lift. Micro focused ultrasound under ultrasonic guidance and visualisation heats the skin tissue at three different specific layers, without affecting the surface of the skin. The precise heating stimulates collagen growth and lifts and tightens the skin over time to help improve double or drooping chins, jowls, crepey neck skin, brow droop, lines under the eyes and fine lines around the lips.
At Cosmetic Image Clinics one of our clinical aesthetic team will place the Ultherapy smooth applicator on the specific areas of the skin delivering focussed ultrasonic energy to the deeper layers of tissues. The ultrasonic imagery allows the technician to see exactly where the energy is being deposited and ensures that you get the maximum benefit from the treatment.
Ultherapy or Ulthera stimulates collagen growth in the skin tissue at three different layers
Ultherapy treatments take approximately 30-90 minutes and some clients may notice a temporary difference shortly after the procedure due to some minor and cosmetically acceptable swelling, but the natural process of the collagen and elastin regeneration will take approximately 2-3 months, with some clients showing improvement for up to 6 to 9 months after their treatment.
Naturally, results can vary depending on the age and condition of your skin.

A good candidate for Ultherapy is a person, male or female, whose skin often looks and feels less firm. Ultherapy can help to treat sagging skin on the eyelids, lowered brows, loose skin under the neck or chin and improve décolletage chest lines and wrinkles.
In an FDA clinical trial, 9 out of 10 patients had a considerable lift in the brow line, resulting in more opened eyes, firmer, tighter, more even toned skin and reduced pore sizes, which gave them a more youthful appearance.
Ulthera or Ultherapy® is a safe non-surgical option to assist in face tightening, neck tightening or chin lifting.
Ultherapy gives your skin a fresher, healthier, more natural look for those of you who are not ready for more invasive surgical options.

Ultherapy treatment costs are comparable to procedures such as Thermage and Titan, but according to ‘Real Self’, the world’s largest personal review cosmetic website, the treatment is rated higher than other skin tightening modalities.
Costs will vary according to the areas treated e.g. full face; brow lift, jowl and upper neck, décolletage lines and wrinkles or combinations of these treatments.
-
People who have open lesions or wounds, cystic acne, existing keloid scarring, mechanical or dermal implants, implanted electrical devices or metal implants in the face or treated area, should not proceed with Ultherapy. Studies have not yet been carried out on women who are pregnant or breast-feeding, so Ultherapy would not be a suitable treatment at this time.

Ultherapy uses the safe, time-tested ultrasound TGA and FDA cleared technology, which has been effective in clinical studies and over 350,000 patient treatments worldwide. Ultrasound has been used safely in the medical field for over 50 years.
Ultherapy is one of the few treatments safe for all skin types, as it uses ultrasound and bypasses the upper layers of skin where the pigment cells are located. At Cosmetic Image Clinics we ensure that our staff are highly trained and have all the required knowledge to get you the best from your treatment.

Ultherapy or Ulthera treatments may cause a slight redness to the skin, but this usually disappears within a matter of hours after the treatment. Makeup application after the treatment can be made to mask any mild redness that may have occurred. Some people may also suffer from a slight swelling, tenderness, numbness or tingling sensation, these symptoms are usually mild and only last temporarily.
-
Ultherapy may cause some discomfort and this will vary from person to person. Most people do not need or request pain relief but you can consider having analgesics half an hour prior to your treatment which will minimalise any discomfort that may occur during your treatment.
Recent evidence suggests that higher settings do not provide superior results and those medium ultrasonic energy settings, which are more comfortable, provide the same efficacy and end result with skin lifting and skin tightening. Previous reports seen on the internet of considerable pain associated with Ulthera or Ultherapy were often performed on these higher settings which are now rarely used since technological advances and research have occurred since then.
Patient comfort is very important to us at Cosmetic Image Clinics and we do our best and utmost to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. Paracetamol is available at our clinic prior to any treatments, also Zimmer and Cryojet skin coolers are available upon request, however, usually no analgesia or pain relieving measures are usually required during Ultherapy.

As with any age defying treatment your skin naturally continues to age, but Ultherapy can give you fresher younger looking skin for at least 12 months after your treatment. Follow up treatments can assist with the ageing process, which varies from person to person, but are recommended every 12 to 24 months to maintain results and slow down the ageing process. We often recommend a multi-pronged approach to anti-ageing that can address the various layers of the skin and tissues. Out of all the anti-ageing, non-surgical treatment modalities, including lasers, radiofrequency technology and fractional resurfacing, Ulthera offers the deepest penetration into the body’s tissues, targeting the deeper tissues layers such as the ‘SMAS’ or sub-muscular aponeurotic layer usually only reached by the plastic or cosmetic surgeon’s scalpel.
